Vincent BERTON, Prefect delegated to the representative of the State in the communities of Saint-Barthélemy and Saint-Martin has been informed of the death of Mr. Bernard MAES, Lieutenant professional firefighter, former head of the fire and rescue center de la Savane in Saint-Martin retired, for nearly two years.

Lieutenant Bernard MAES was known to all as a person of quality, invested and always lending an attentive ear in the context of his duties as in civilian life. Vincent BERTON, Préfet délégué auprès du représentant de l’État dans les collectivités de Saint-Barthélemy et de Saint-Martin a été informé du décès de Monsieur Bernard MAES, Lieutenant sapeur-pompier professionnel, ancien chef du centre d’incendie et de secours de la Savane à Saint-Martin retraité, depuis près de deux ans.

Le Lieutenant Bernard MAES était connu de tous comme une personne de qualité, investie et prêtant toujours une oreille attentive dans le cadre de ses fonctions comme dans la vie civile. Le Préfet, ainsi que l’ensemble du personnel de la Préfecture de Saint-Barthélemy et de Saint-Martin adressent leurs sincères condoléances à la famille, aux proches et aux collègues du Lieutenant MAES.
