Emilio Wilson 1st St Maarten National Park Emergency Debris Management Project ‘Marion’ will be sunk in Sint Maarten’s territory to create artificial reef

World Nature Conservation Day is commemorated annually to highlight the importance of Nature and Natural Resources:
to create awareness and a better understanding of and appreciation for the many benefits derived from conserving and properly managing Nature.
Today on World Nature Conservation Day, July 28th 2022, we at the Emilio Wilson Estate Foundation call upon all of Sint Maarten’s residents and visitors to take pride in the island’s natural heritage,
to respect it and to make any possible effort to protect and preserve it.
We reiterate our calls to the Government of Sint Maarten, the Minister of VROMI and Parliament to take measures to establish land-based protected areas on Sint Maarten.
Establish the entire remainder of the Emilio Wilson Estate as Sint Maarten’s first land-based Protected Area!!
