Nol Hendriks will be head of Finance and Economy Kingdom Relations at the Ministry of the Interior and Kingdom Relations with effect from 1 September 2022.

Nol Hendriks is now deputy director of Financial and Economic Affairs, head of the Control department at the Ministry of the Interior and Kingdom Relations. He previously held several management positions. Nol studied Public Administration at the University of Twente.

The task of the Finance and Economy Kingdom Relations department is to promote stable financial-economic development in the Caribbean part of the Kingdom. Supervision rules for the public entities have been laid down in the Public Entities Finance Act Bonaire, Sint Eustatius and Saba.

Financial supervision has been established for the countries Curaçao, Aruba and Sint Maarten under the constitutional reforms of 10 October 2010 on the basis of the Financial Supervision Act (Rft). Independent financial supervision was established for Aruba in August 2015 by National Ordinance.

The department fulfills the tasks arising from these legal frameworks and contributes to coordinating and making the financial management of the public entities structurally sound. Another task of the department is the implementation of the St Eustatius Restoration Facilities Act, aimed at strengthening the quality of the administration and civil service after the administrative intervention by the Netherlands in 2018.

This appointment to an ABD position was established through the general procedure for positions within the General Administrative Service. The recruitment and selection for this appointment was done by Bureau ABD and the Ministry of the Interior and Kingdom Relations. Vacancies facilitated by Bureau ABD are widely announced and anyone can apply.
