VOICES Founder Ms. Nkosazana Illis continued with the opening remarks and then lead a small delegation to the late Mr. Emilio Wilson statue in the park where she laid flowers to honor him.
The program continued with remarks by the Honorable Minister of Education, Culture, Youth and Sports, Drs Rodolphe Samuel, Prime Minister of St. Maarten – Silveria E. Jacobs, and Governor of Sint Maarten, Drs. Eugene Holiday.
As we marked the 10th anniversary of the Emancipation Day celebrations, we honored and showed appreciation to persons and organizations who have been valuable contributors throughout the years.
