ISLAND COUNCIL UNANIMOUSLY DROPS NA/HEYLIGER/LAVEIST APPOINTED COMMISSIONER OF FINANCE!
Leader of Government, NATIONAL ALLIANCE Commissioner William Marlin bungled the vote on the motion of no-confidence AGAINST his hand-picked boy- wonder, appointed Commissioner of Finance, Xavier Blackman when he erroneously called for no individual voting on the motion, thereby unanimously accepting same and de facto firing Blackman. This was obviously a huge mistake and the DP is convinced Commissioner Blackman is still scratching his head, wondering what happened. Well, what happened is that AGAIN William messed up and just in case he would want to put a different spin on it, the truth is plain and simple: the PINHEAD syndrome once more rose to the surface in the ranks of the National Alliance, this time having dire consequences for their own Commissioner of Finance.
And these are the people who profess to be knowledgeable and capable enough to take St. Maarten into Country status?
Also interesting and remarkable was the fact that when the Governor asked if individual voting was necessary on this particular Motion of No-Confidence and William loud and clearly said: NO, none of the other members opened their mouth. They MUST have realized that what William had just done, was wrong, yet no-one, including their coalition partners, spoke up. This may be a confirmation of what has been rumored from day one when this NA/Heyliger/Laveist government took office, namely either the other Commissioners can’t think for themselves, or have been prohibited to do so. Interesting, to say the least. Apology or no apology, Commissioner Blackman must now wonder who has his back!
