A SEVERE CASE OF LARYNGITIS, OR A LACK OF KNOWLEDGE?
In yesterdays Island Council Meeting I KNOW our DP Leader Sarah Wescot-Williams was battling the flu and running a fever. Nevertheless, she not only showed up for the IC meeting “under the weather”, she also participated vigorously. From the performance of the Government in which NA Commissioner William Marlin talked and talked and talked, I believe the other Commissioners were all suffering from a bad case of Laryngitis. This, as except for a very short presentation by Commissioner of Finance Xavier Blackman when he announced that he is putting his father on a committee to establish the joint Central Bank, and Commissioner Frans Richardson when he turned down a mandate the Island Council was trying to give him so he could market the Island properly for up to three years, we heard nothing from them. It can’t be a lack of knowledge or know-how, can it?!
I wish them a speedy recovery.
